The Airport Link and busway project involves 15 km of tunnelling including the road (6.7 km of twin tunnels), busway tunnels and connecting ramps, as well as 25 bridges and result in over 7 km of new road. The Airport Link is Australia’s longest road tunnel.
The OSD860, OSD8600, OSD8838, OSD8816 and OSD8815 real-time analogue and uncompressed digital fiber optic transmission products were supplied for the video and data transmission of the tunnel’s monitoring and control system with more than 700 video links supported. As well as video transmission OSD supplied the OSD481/483 and OSD2044 for the rebroadcasting of emergency communications, AM and FM radio signals in the tunnels.
